On November 10, 1967, the plaintiff brought this action against the defendants, Robert J. Pryor, Robert J. Pryor, Jr., and John Henderson, seeking both compensatory and punitive damages for assault and battery, and, also, damages for the destruction of certain personal property. The defendants, Robert J. Pryor and John Henderson, filed an answer alleging in substance that they were acting in self-defense of themselves and of their property.
