Bond v. Department of Social & Health Services

Court of Appeals of Washington

1Opinion of the Court

Quinn-Brintnall, A.C.J.

The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) determined that residents of Paula Bond’s adult family home were in imminent danger and summarily suspended and then revoked Bond’s license to operate an adult family home in Tacoma, Washington. Bond challenged the DSHS actions, but both the administrative process and then the superior court affirmed. Because we hold that Bond’s actions placed the residents entrusted to her care in imminent danger, we affirm the revocation of her license.
