I. Background

This case arises out of an accident off the coast of Panama City, Florida, in which sea lions were being transferred between the R/V MR. OFFSHORE, owned by Defendant Bordelon Marine, Inc., and Sea Lion Boat # 17, a rubber inflatable boat (RIB) owned and operated by the United States Navy. Plaintiff Holly Wade alleges she was employed as a seaman and member of the crew of the R/V MR. OFFSHORE.
