MEMORANDUM OPINION
SPORKIN, District Judge.
This matter comes before the Court on Defendants’ supplemental motion to dismiss the remaining Eighth Amendment Claims alleged in Plaintiffs Second Amended Complaint pursuant to Fed.R.Civ.P. 12(b)(6). 1 Plaintiff is a District of Columbia prisoner who is presently incarcerated in the Medium Security Facility at Lorton Correctional Complex. Plaintiffs claims involve the period between August 1993 and June 14, 1994, during which he was incarcerated in the Maximum Security Facility at Lorton in Cell-block 5 due to his request for protective custody.
