The parties in this case were married for 29 years. On December 13, 1968, they entered into a “Property Settlement Agreement,” reciting the existence of marital differences, making it impossible for them to continue to live together. The agreement was signed in the Panama Canal Zone, where they resided. On January 10, 1969, an interlocutory decree of divorce was entered in the United States District Court for the Canal Zone.
