GREENE, Chief Judge:

Veteran Earlee King appeals, through counsel, a January 8, 2007, Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) decision that denied him an effective date prior to May 15, 2000, for his award of VA service connection for schizophrenia. Mr. King argues that the Board erred by (1) assigning him a May 15, 2000, effective date, (2) not providing an adequate statement of reasons or bases for its decision, and (3) assigning his appeal an incorrect docket number.
