T2 On October 4, 2003, Gus Taliaferro, Sr. (Taliaferro/deceased) went to the Norman Regional Hospital Emergency Room complaining of shortness of breath and pain in his chest-his second episode that week. Dr. Brent Wauters, an ER physician, advised him that his symptoms were the result of pre-existing emphysema and sent him home.
