The United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina awarded Embrex, Inc. (Embrex) damages for Service Engineering Corporation’s and Edward Bounds’ (collectively, SEC’s) infringement of U.S. Patent No. 4,458,630 (’630 patent), including direct damages, *1346treble damages for willfulness, and attorney fees under an exceptional case finding.
