The Board of Claims (the Board) awarded the sum of $168,729.90 to Appellant, Virginia Gaither, Administratrix of the Estate of Lebrón Gaither1 upon its conclusion that Lebrón Gaither’s death, which occurred while he was working as a confidential informant for the Kentucky State Police (KSP), was caused by the negligent performance of ministerial acts by state *630police officers acting within the scope of their employment.
