After receiving workers’ compensation benefits for serious injuries sustained while working at Ford Motor Company’s Cleveland Casting Plant (the Plant) in Brook Park, Ohio, Norman Rudisill sued Ford for committing an intentional tort against him. His wife, Karen Rudisill, asserted a derivative claim of loss of consortium in the same complaint.
