Appeal from a judgment of the Supreme Court (Con-nor, J.), entered September 8, 2005 in Ulster County, ordering, inter alia, equitable distribution of the parties’ marital property, upon a decision of the court.

The parties were married in 1984 and are the parents of a daughter, now age 20 and in college, and a son, now 17. Plaintiff *905commenced, this action for divorce in 2003 and defendant answered and counterclaimed.
