Introduction

Plaintiff Debra Tucker has sued defendant SmithKline Beecham Corp. d/b/a GlaxoSmithKline (“GSK”) for negligence, strict liability, and breach of express and implied warranty. 1 Plaintiffs brother was Father Rick Tucker, a Roman Catholic priest who committed suicide in September 2002, a few weeks after he began taking Paxil, an anti-depressant drug manufactured and distributed by GSK.
