JEFFREY V. BROWN, Justice.

Headington Oil Company, L.P. and Bruce Gary appeal a judgment awarding unpaid royalties on the sale of oil and gas, prejudgment interest, attorney’s fees, and expert-witness fees to the appellees. Headington appeals the award of statutory prejudgment interest because it is barred by a “safe harbor” provision; the award of attorney’s fees because the appellees are not “prevailing parties”; and the award of expert-witness fees because they are not taxable court costs.
