KEM THOMPSON FROST, Justice.

This case presents a dispute between a psychologist and his former patient. We must determine (1) whether the psychologist’s alleged negligent diagnosis caused the patient’s injury, and (2) whether the psychologist, who had referred the patient to a psychiatrist and who was no longer seeing the patient, had a duty to monitor her progress.
