At the election held in November, 1924, defendant, A. W. Taylor, was duly elected sheriff of Lenoir County for the term of two years, beginning on the first Monday in December, thereafter. Said A. W. Taylor was first elected sheriff of Lenoir County at the election held in November, 1912; he has been elected to said office at each subsequent biennial election in said county, including the election of 1924.
