OPINION
QUIST, District Judge.
Plaintiff, Sherri J. Gradisher (“Gradisher”), filed this action against Defendant, Check Enforcement Unit, Inc. (“CEU”), on behalf of herself and a proposed class alleging that CEU violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”), 15 U.S.C. § 1692-1692o, and its Michigan counterparts, the Michigan Collection Practices Acts, M.C.L. § 339.901-.920 and M.C.L. § 445.251-.258. On February 28, 2001, the Court issued an Opinion and Order denying CEU’s motion for summary judgment. In that Opinion and Order, the Court determined that CEU is a “debt collector”…
