Appellants brought this action in the court below against Western Title Insurance Company and Madera County Title Company to recover damages caused by an alleged defect in the title to the land they purchased in 1964 from Johnny and Mary Dell Jones; their complaint, in six causes of action, was based on breach of contract and negligence. After jury trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of appellants against both respondents in the amount of $22,000.
