Complainant, in its bill and a supporting affidavit charging the existence and continuance of a public nuisance, seeks preliminary injunctive relief. Defendant, submitting his own and an affidavit of a civil engineer, resists.

Defendant owns and, with his family, occupies a dwelling on South Main street in the town of Medford, Burlington county. The community lacks a public sewage system and private cesspools are in general use.
