This is an action by plaintiff, who is the widow of Bernard Geismann, against defendant company to recover five thousand dollars damages for the negligent killing of her husband in the city of St. Louis on January 24, 1898. At the time of the accident the deceased was a laborer engaged in hanging and removing signs. The defendant at that time was a lighting corporation engaged in supplying electric light and electric power to consumers, in the city of St. Louis.
