The defendants in error brought an action against the plaintiff in error, and alleged in their petition : “ That on or about the 4th day of June, 1887, in Woodbury county, Iowa, the defendant entered into and made a contract with plaintiff agreeing to pay whatever sum might become due said doctors for their professional services for taking care of and treating one A.
