I. INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Thomas W. Wiemers filed this action on January 4, 2002, in Iowa District Court in and for Calhoun County, against defendant Good Samaritan Society (“Good Samaritan”) and Amy Skramstad, asserting a claim that he was discharged by defendant Good Samaritan Society (“Good Samaritan”) in retaliation for pursuing a workers’ compensation claim.
