Plaintiffs, James A. Leland, D.D.S., and Gretchen Y. Leland, brought this action against Travelers Indemnity Company of Illinois (Travelers) to recover personal injury protection (PIP) benefits under a policy issued by Travelers, pursuant to the Colorado Auto Accident Reparations Act (the Act), for attorney fees, interest, and treble damages under the Act, and for compensatory and exemplary damages for “outrageous conduct” and negligence in handling the plaintiffs’ claims.
