This case concerns the interplay of K.S.A. 2000 Supp. 22-3718 statutory conditional release dates, parole under K.S.A. *8402000 Supp. 22-37l7(a), a violation while on parole, and Stansbury v. Hannigan, 265 Kan. 404, 960 P.2d 227, cert. denied 525 U.S. 1060 (1998). Our focus is on the calculation of petitioner Jeffrey Parsons’ conditional release date. Respondents Louis A.
