This case, in which the State of Mississippi sentenced appellant Willie N. Reddix to death, returns to us after we remanded to allow the district court to consider various issues it had not addressed. Our previous opinion granted Reddix habeas relief with respect to the penalty phase of his trial, but reversed the district court’s grant of relief as to the guilt phase. On remand, the district court denied relief on all the issues it reconsidered, but consistent with our opinion granted relief unless the state resentenced Reddix or vacated his death sentence and…
