This suit-of the state is brought under the anti-trust laws of the state, and was filed July 10, 1915. It is alleged in the petition that the defendant is a New Jersey corporation, with a domicile in the city of New Orleans. It is charged that the defendant corporation is a result of a combination and conspiracy, and that it has combined and conspired with other organizations to operate as a trust in restraint of trade in the state of Louisiana, in violation of the laws of this state, that it is engaged in the lawful business of buying, selling, and refining sugar, but that its business is…
