The plaintiffs are seven local divisions of the union of the employees of the defendant The Connecticut Company, and ten of the officers and agents of the union. They sued The Connecticut Company, as principal, and the Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Company, as surety, on a bond which was given to indemnify the plaintiffs upon the issuance of a temporary injunction in a labor dispute. The temporary injunction was dissolved upon the motion of the plaintiffs.
