¶ 1 Plaintiff, -Michele Fry, appeals the district court’s judgment dismissing her complaint, which alleged defamation and related claims against defendants, Kurtis Lee and The Denver Post, LLC (the Post), pursuant *846to C.R.C.P. 12(b)(5). We affirm and remand with directions.

I. Procedural History and Background

¶ 2 In 2011, Fry ran as a candidate for the District 5 seat on the Denver City Council. As part of her campaign, Fry responded to a questionnaire that the Downtown Denver Partnership (DDP) provided to the District 5 candidates. The candidates’ responses were made public.
