Appellant James Alan Stanton was convicted in the Cleveland County Circuit Court of manufacturing a controlled substance (crystal methamphetamine); possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver; simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms; possession of drug paraphernalia; and felon in possession of a firearm. Appellant was sentenced as a habitual offender to fife imprisonment on each of the first three counts and twenty years’ and twelve years’ imprisonment, respectively, on the last two counts.
