POWERS, Justice.

In an action for debt, and following a bench trial, the court below awarded Austin Gallery of Oriental Rugs, Inc. judgment against B. Randal Hardwick in the amount of the debt, $5,037.68, together with attorney’s fees, post-judgment interest, and costs of court. The court denied the company’s claim for additional statutory damages based on Hardwick’s usury and deceptive-trade practice.
