The primary object of this suit is to obtain the reformation or the rescission of a certain contract of license, entered into by the complainant and the defendants on or about the 22d day of April, 1882, wherein and whereby the complainant granted to the defendants the right to use certain “guides” for guiding rods in their passage through surface-polishing machines, of which the complainant was the first inventor, and for which invention he had obtained letters patent on the 4th day of August, 1874.
