Interpleader against Kittie Marie Elliott and Wilma Rhodes to determine which of them is entitled to the proceeds of an insurance policy issued on the life of John Russell Elliott.
Kittie Marie Elliott, the beneficiary last designated in the policy, was the wife of the insured until they were divorced November 1, 1946. On the same day he and the defendant Wilma Rhodes applied for a marriage license, which was issued three or four days later, and also wrote a letter to the insurer, transmitting the premium then due and requesting that the beneficiary be changed to Wilma…
