Lisa Seawright worked for American General Financial Services (“AGF”) from November 1978 until April 2005.1 AGF terminated Seawright’s employment in April 2005. In response, Seawright filed suit in the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, alleging that AGF discharged her in violation of Tennessee antidiscrimination law and the Family and Medical Leave Act, 29 U.S.C. § 2601 et seq.
