Plaintiff filed this action for damages for personal injuries incurred when she fell in defendant’s bowling alley.

Plaintiff’s complaint alleges that she was seated at a table overlooking the bowling lanes; that the floor material under the table was linoleum, with carpeting “surrounding the linoleum at a different level” and with a metal strip, or “carpet bar,” between the carpeting and the linoleum.
