OPINION OF THE COURT

BROWN, Judge:

A military judge sitting as a general court-martial convicted the appellant, pursuant to his pleas, of making false official statements (three specifications) and larceny (fourteen specifications), in violation of Articles 107 and 121, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 907 and 921 [hereinafter UCMJ].1 The military judge sentenced the appellant to a dismissal, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for six months, but recommended that the convening authority suspend the sentence.2 Pursuant to a pretrial agreement, the convening…
