Plaintiff filed an action for divorce on the ground of desertion against defendant to whom he had been married for over thirty years. Defendant answered and cross-complained for separate maintenance on the ground of extreme cruelty. Subsequently plaintiff filed an answer to defendant’s cross-complaint and an amended complaint adding a second cause of action for divorce on the ground of defendant ’s alleged extreme cruelty.
