Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Fisher, J.), rendered January 6, 1989, convicting him of assault in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The defendant claims that the prosecutor improperly elicited testimony from the investigating police officer regarding his efforts to locate the defendant. A review of the relevant part of the trial record discloses that the defense counsel did not raise an objection at trial to this allegedly prejudicial evidence thereby rendering this issue…
