This matter is before the Court on plaintiff’s application for an award of reasonable attorney’s fees as the prevailing party under the Civil Rights Attorney’s Fees Awards Act of 1976, 42 U.S.C. § 1988. 1 Plaintiff’s counsel have filed extensive affidavits requesting compensation for a total of 2,087.60 hours of time, worth, in their estimation, $240,350.00.
