Henry Z. Spell, a successful civil rights plaintiff in a suit brought against Patrolman Charles McDaniel and the City of Fayetteville, North Carolina, see Spell v. McDaniel, 824 F.2d 1380 (4th Cir.1987), is again before this court on a motion for attorney’s fees under 42 U.S.C. § 1988 for services performed in connection with the appeal and subsequent response to the appellant’s petition for writ of certiorari.
