*560The arguments in this case are elaborate. There are discussions of controverted questions of fact, which, in view of the evidence, the conclusions of the master thereon and the decree of the court must be regarded as settled; and legal questions are raised and discussed which have been long ago determined. We shall not undertake to follow counsel in these divagations, but shall confine ourselves to those facts which we deem controlling, and to a statement of the resulting conclusions.
