In this case a visitor to St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital sued the hospital on a premises liability theory after she slipped and fell near the lobby exit doors. The issue is whether her suit is a health care liability claim under the Texas Medical Liability Act. See Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code ch. 74. The trial court and court of appeals concluded that it is.
