OPINION OF THE COURT
WEIS, Circuit Judge.
This case arose as the result of the defendant’s actions in arranging to reimburse individuals for contributions they had made at the defendant’s instigation to the campaign funds of candidates for federal offices. Defendant was convicted on charges of causing election campaign treasurers to submit false reports to the Federal Election Commission in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2(b) and 1001, the false statements statute.
