— Weiss, P. J. Appeal from an order of the Supreme Court (Plumadore, J.), entered May 4, 1992 in Saratoga County, which granted plaintiffs’ motion for leave to serve an amended complaint.
On July 4, 1989 while driving south on U.S. Route 4 in the Town of Stillwater, Saratoga County, plaintiffs’ vehicle was struck in the rear by a pick-up truck driven by defendant, *903who fled from the scene without stopping to identify himself.
