John Shaffer, of whose estate Anna F. Zurflieh, defendant and appellant, is administratrix, was for many years prior to *449his death, in April, 1898, a retail merchant in the borough of Dunmore, Lackawanna county. He was a man of considerable means, possessed of real estate and securities approximating in value, $50,000.
