Contrary to his pleas, appellant was found guilty by a general court-martial of officer members of 7 specifications of unauthorized absence in violation of Article 86, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 886 (1994)[hereinafter UCMJ]; 6 specifications of *537■wrongfully obtaining check cashing services, and 39 specifications of cashing checks with insufficient funds, all in violation of Article 134, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. § 934; and 1 specification of wrongfully using cocaine in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ, 10 U.S.C. § 912a.
