COX, Judge:

Contrary to his pleas, a general court-martial convicted appellant of disobeying regulations by copying and removing or communicating classified materials, and of espionage on behalf of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, in violation of Articles 92,106a, and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 892, 906a, and 934, respectively.1 The court-martial sentenced him to be confined for 8 years and to pay the United States a fine of $10,000.00.
