EDMUNDS, Judge.

Plaintiff George E. Groves appeals the trial court’s order granting judgment on the pleadings in favor of defendants. We affirm in part and reverse in part.

In 1994, plaintiff was employed as the production manager by defendant Porcelanite, Inc. (Porcelanite). During plaintiffs employment, defendant The Travelers Insurance Company (Travelers) provided workers’ compensation insurance to Porcelanite.
