Joseph P. Caulfield, through his company Joseph P. Caulfield & Associates, Inc. (“Caulfield Inc.”), is in the business of helping people present claims to their insurance companies. Intermediaries like Caulfield Inc. sell their experience in adjusting insurance claims to policyholders who fear that, when catastrophe strikes, the insurers may be tempted to minimize allowable claims.
