The state’s attorney of Jefferson county, at the instance of two relators, on the 3d of May, 1901, filed an information in the nature of a quo warranto against the respondent Massey, charging him with usurping the office of alderman of the first ward, in the city of Mt. Yernon. Despondent filed three pleas to the information; replications were filed to the pleas.
