In this workers’ compensation case, we granted the defendant’s motion for review pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated section 50-6-225(e) primarily to determine whether the trial court erred by finding that the two and one-half times cap on the permanent partial disability award set forth in Tennessee Code Annotated section 50 — 6—241(a)(1) did not apply, where the plaintiff was fired by the employer for gross misconduct prior to being…
