Statement of the Case.

Appellant brought this suit to enjoin the tax collector of McLennan county from issuing poll tax receipts to women. He alleges that he is a duly qualified voter and taxpayer in McLennan county; that he is a member of the Democratic party in this state, and a candidate for the Legislature in the district composed of said county, at the Democratic primary to be held in July, 1920; that there are 5,000 female citizens of McLennan county not disqualified to vote, except by reason of their sex, who will obtain poll tax receipts from…
